ST NEOTS, CAMBRIDGESHIRE
Here we are delivering a fully integrated land use and public transport orientated scheme. A new community will be created as a sustainable urban extension to the town and will comprise over 1,400 homes with mixed uses and employment space. The style will be in harmony with this Cambridgeshire market town.
Improvements to the existing St Neots station are an integral part of the scheme with the delivery of a new bus interchange providing the site with a high sustainable transportation strategy alongside a network of local roads, footpaths and cycleways.
A development brief has been produced through collaborative working with the community and local authority. A planning application was submitted in 2002. The District Council resolved to approve it, subject to the completion of a Section 106 Agreement, on 17th May 2004.The scheme has been referred to the Secretary of State under the terms of the Greenfield Directive.
