POOLE, DORSET

We have worked in partnership with the largest local employer - Sunseeker - and in consultation with the local authority. Together we are looking to identify the means by which large areas of brownfield land, including a 30 - acre former power station site, can be developed with infrastructure provision required to improve accessibility to and from the Port of Poole.

Working in close co-operation with Poole Borough Council over the last few years we have helped devise and consolidate strategies including the provision of a new lifting bridge. The bridge will act in unison with the existing one to provide a catalyst for comprehensive mixed use regeneration and to sustain the economy of the port.

Gallagher Estates has assembled land within the scheme and is working with others to deliver the vision, which will provide a high density mixed use waterfront scheme in Poole Harbour.

Successful Community Planning events have been held over recent weeks resulting in the formation of a Community Forum relating to the future development.

Outline Planning Applications were submitted in June 2004.

Anticipated commencement of development 2006.
